Amazon Introduces Frustration-Free™ Packaging On Selected Items

We have all bought our child a toy that they are DYING to play with, but can't because the darn thing is sealed in an unlockable vault that won't open regardless of what tools you use.

Jeff Bezos, CEO and Founder of Amazon recently wrote an open letter to all of his customers introducing Amazon's new Frustration-Free™ Packaging.

This packaging project, which is a multi-year initiative, is designed to alleviate "wrap rage". It features recyclable boxes that are easy to open and free of excess materials such as hard plastic clamshell cases, plastic bindings, and wire ties. The product itself is exactly the same — they have just streamlined the packaging.

Some companies like Fisher-Price, Mattel and Microsoft have already started to incorporate this initiate into a few of their popular products.

Although it will take a few years for Amazon's whole catalog to incorporate this new packaging, it feels good to know that it is on the way!
