12-year-old Schoolgirl Gives Birth
Staff at a Nambia hospital were left in shock after a 12-year-old girl gave birth to a baby girl earlier this week.
The father of the baby is said to be between 15 and 16 years old. The baby is currently being kept in the Hospital's Premature Unit, while the mother is recuperating in the Maternity Ward.
Nurses at the hospital said the girl’s parents had visited the young mother and her baby. However, the boy’s parents have so far not shown up.
The two young parents have reportedly been referred to Social Services.
I'm speechless...12-year-olds are supposed to be hanging out with their friends, not having babies.
