During this morning's The Early Show on CBS Julie Chen announced that she and her husband, Les Moonves, are expecting their first child together.
"I am expecting my first child," she announced while rubbing her tummy,"So it wasn't a big Sunday at the buffet table. I'm starting to show now! And my due date is Oct. 4. So, fingers crossed, and ... I'm not taking maternity leave from (the
CBS show) "Big Brother," which she hosts. "I e-mailed my boss over there this weekend and I said, 'Don't worry. I can still do the show!" '
The mom-to-be even kidded that the headlines could read, " 'Big Brother' Gives Birth. Medical Miracle!" '
